Sarah Palin's amniotic fluid

La Palin is basking in the spotlight of high celebrity. Yet as the days pass the public is learning more about her warts. A long story in the 'New York Times' on line yesterday [8 September 2008] jumps out at the reader's eye. During her pregnancy, hidden from the citizens of Alaska, Palin knowing that she was leaking amniotic fluid went to make a speech in Texas rather than look after her own health and that of her unborn child. The boy Trig was born a month early and is as we are never told not to forget, a boy with downs syndrome. Were la Palin as concerned with life and the health of a fetoeus which she believes has life and a soul at the moment of conception, she showed little concern at this new life. Obviously it may not have been an easy pregnancy for a 44 year old woman, but her insouciance is manifest and we dare say reprehensible. Her 5 child may have had downs syndrome but if he didn't the leaking amniotic fluid from her placenta and the rigours of travel and the pursuit of her faith based politic agenda, put her boy Trig in harm's way and has condemned him to a dim life should he survive into adulthood, and what's more at the public's expense which la Palin castigates for being too generous for the likes of her mentally handicapped child.
