Charlie Rangel has pissed someone off. Who?

A high ranking Harlem Democratic member of Congress Charlie Rangel is on the hot seat. All of a sudden this octogenarian with clout in the houses of Washington and in New York politics is being hounded by the New York Times for tax evasion, special treatment on his rent, uncleared property in the Dominican Republic and in Harlem. Why? Who? That is the big question. Rangel who unseated the popular but venal Adam Clayton Powell, jr. is now treading water. How long will it take to sink him? He will win another term at the 2008 general elections, but will he finish his two years in office before he's indicted? That remains to be seen. Poor Charlie...?
