Social protest in China -- the ringing of the knell on the Communist party

Natural disasters, protests in Tibet, world condemnation, and threats of boycotting the summer 2008 Olympics in Beijing have rained on Beijing's parade. The tired old Communist party is now facing social protests be they the killing of an innocent school girl or the collapse of shoddy schools killing thousands of school children and by killing of children, it affects the one child per family policy which the great helmsman Mao instituted. The death of an only child strikes at the very heart of China's millenia old ethos which values children as the link to the future. Many grieving parents may be too old to have another child, so they will slouch into old age without anyone to care for them, and thus with their passing, the family will die out. Natural disasters such as floods and earthquake have the centuries old stigma that the heavens are not happy with China's leaders and that they are with drawing the mandate of authority from them. China's brutal rule in Tibet is but a magnification of the terror that its uses against its own citizens. And the Chinese have to thank protesting Tibetans because in one fell swoop, they have exposed the ugly dictatorship in Beijing. Slowly but surely the cancer of destruction is eating away at Communist rule in China, and thanks to rapid economic development, an industrial and prosperous China is merely exacerbating the contradictions within society, impoverishing the masses for enrichment of the very few, and by a stroke, recreating uneven capitalist development which in the west ushered in revolution and democracy of sorts, not democracy of the party dictatorship a la Lenin! So we are witnessing the fools who rule and run China, digging their own grave!
